The manufacturing process of double-shed glass insulators begins with precise batching and high-temperature melting of high-purity raw materials into homogeneous molten glass, which is then press-formed in molds to create the distinctive dual-shed profile. The shaped units undergo controlled annealing—and optional tempering for enhanced strength—before being assembled with hot-dip galvanized steel fittings using expanding cement and sealed with silicone at the interface. Each insulator is individually tested for mechanical, electrical, and dimensional compliance, marked with a traceable code, and packaged securely to ensure decades of reliable, maintenance-free performance even under harsh coastal or polluted conditions.
